Last year, we were all happy, and we sing songs of love and hope. As long as we are together, no obstacles can break us. Our bond is strong, and we spend every day spreading the music of peace and harmony, but nothing last forever. Even smiles wither, songs fade and life ends. Peaceful days were broken, and many friends have fallen. I can only look back to the days when the 25th was still merry. But now I am alone, as I face this day without them. As the night begins to chase the daylight away, snow of bitter cold falls, slowly turning the city into a white sarcastic empty space. But I can’t just sulk here, for that’s not what my friends want me to do. They want me to move on and live a happy life. Thus, this evening, I shall sing, a carol especially for them. My heart maybe crying, but knowing that they are listening to my voice from the heavens, it makes me feel at ease. This 25th is a chance for me to tell them how happy I was to be with them. This carol is for them, a sad yet optimistic carol.
